At a glance
High-resolution Earth observation telescope in an 8U form factor – VLEO ready, multispectral, athermal and with active motion compensation.
* Optional: 8192 × 8192 pixels
Specifications
Full specification of the optical payload system.
Special FeatureVLEO ready
Also designed for operation in very low Earth orbit (VLEO) – altitudes from 300 to 700 km. The lower the orbit, the finer the GSD – with the same optics.
Forward Motion Compensation*
Active motion compensation along the flight direction: longer exposure times and sharp images despite a ground speed of around 7 km/s.
Active Focuser*
Active focusing keeps the optics in focus across the entire temperature range.
Wide-Area Scan*
Roll oscillation, pitch backscan and 2D motion compensation extend coverage to up to 128 × 128 km² per scene – at full resolution, on a 16U CubeSat with standard attitude control.
Agile Imaging*
The camera keeps imaging while the satellite changes its attitude: as it rolls sideways and re-points to a new target, the images stay sharp. Targets away from the ground track can thus be captured one after another in a single pass – without the satellite having to hold still for each image.
AI Onboard Image Processing*
AI-based image processing on board improves SNR and resolution and reduces the amount of data to be downlinked.
* Optional – features and other options, such as SWIR or LWIR, on request.
